Lunch Menu
Welcome, and thank you for joining us here at Potter's Mill. We hope you enjoy your dining experience in the unique atmosphere of Iowa 's oldest gristmill. Potter's Mill was founded in 1843 by Captain Elbridge Gerry Potter, grinding flour for customers in St. Louis , New Orleans , and New York among others. Peak flour production was 200 barrels per day. Power came from an overshot waterwheel that was located on the south side of the structure, and the mill was active until 1969 . In 1980, Daryll and Carolyn Eggers bought the building and began extensive renovation and restoration. We encourage you to take the time to see the many interesting artifacts of the mill's flour producing days. Then, in October 2006, Billie Jo Roling-Pulley and her son Billy took over operations. Our hope is to continue to share the history of Potter's Mill and to make special moments become lasting memories for all who visit with us. Serving:
